Bridging Economics with Value.
I am Dr. Mohammad Omar Farooq. My work integrates conventional economic theory with Islamic jurisprudence to create sustainable solutions for poverty and development.

I am an accomplished economist and educator with a global career spanning the USA and the Middle East. Formerly a Ciriacy-Wantrup Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Berkeley, I have dedicated my career to financial markets, development economics, and the intersection of faith and finance.
Currently, I lead the Department of Economics at United International University. My research aims to move Islamic economics beyond theoretical legalism towards value-oriented solutions for real-world problems.
